At GCSE although 'coding' isnt assessed toward your final grade any more, you do still need to create some complex coding solutions and understand coding structures, planning and paradigms.
When you get to A-Level its a different story, you have a 20% coding project to complete and whilst you dont need to have done any coding prior to this project it is important to have got your foot through the door.
